IHC

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) refers to the process of detecting antigens in cells of a tissue section using antibodies which specifically bind to them.

IHC is used widely to identify cell abnormalities, due to the fact that specific molecular markers are characteristic of particular cellular events or structures. Visualisation of the antibody-antigen interaction usually occurs via conjugation to an enzyme that catalyses a colour-producing reaction.

The following includes some of the antibodies that we can use for immunohistochemistry.
