Histopathology
KWS BioTest has extensive expertise as a specialist pathology services provider. We can carry out routine histopathology and specialist staining/immunohistochemistry against a wide range of cell-surface markers and cytokines.
Our pathology team lead by a dedicated veterinary pathologist, holding both British (FRCPath) and European (DiplECVP) qualifications and over 20 years experience, offers specialised interpretation as part of programmes with our partners. The KWS Pathology laboratory is a newly built Category II laboratory staffed by dedicated histology technicians and participates in external quality control through the UK NEQAS system.
KWS histopathology services can be performed in isolation or in support of our in vivo models.
A selection of the main histology services include:
- Haematoxylin & Eosin staining for general pathology
- Special staining techniques (e.g. collagen deposition)
- All types of tissue samples are processed
